Show MER on Error Vector Traces (DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream)
toggles the calculation of information displayed on error vector traces between EVM and MER.
It's often easier to see problems in EVM mode, because subcarriers with poor EVM spike up and stand out from the signal (as opposed to MER mode, where subcarriers with poor MER spike down and are easily lost in the signal).
EVM is shown on Error Vector traces.
MER is shown on Error Vector traces. Normalize IQ Traces has no effect on these traces when this parameter is selected. MER is calculated as the inverse of the error vector. Averaging for MER is performed in the EVM domain and then converted to MER.
